Free livestream events with teacher-scholars
We want to share and disseminate the latest issues related to adolescent writing with our community. This summer, we hosted 3 free events via livestream for you to engage with speakers bringing you current, research-based practices for adolescent writers.
We encourage schools and school leaders to consider incorporating these videos and professional books as part of their teachers' PLCs or book groups.
Future livestream events will have an author presentation session (1 hour) followed by a moderated Q&A session (30 minutes).
For more info, see our events page.
Check out our resources page for additional resources and links to partner projects focusing on improving secondary reading and writing!
Research to Practice Updates
We will regularly share important research findings related to secondary writing in a format that is useful and practical for educators interested in improving students' writing.
These posts will include important insights, tips, and examples of evidence-backed instructional practices that can be used in secondary ELA and history classrooms, with a focus on improving argument writing.
By partnering with secondary teachers, school leaders, and researchers, we hope to improve writing research, writing instruction, and the connection between the two
