Undraa Maamuujav is a first-year Ph.D. student in the School of Education at UCI with a specialization in Teaching, Learning, and Educational Improvement (TLEI). She received B.A. in English and Education and her M.A. in Linguistics at University of the Humanities in Mongolia, and her M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA).
Prior to joining UCI’s School of Education, Undraa taught Critical Reading & Rhetoric and Academic English at UCI, Issues in English Language Pedagogy, Writing, and English as a Second Language at CSULA. In addition to teaching, Undraa served as an Academic Bridge Curriculum Coordinator and Grammar & Writing Skills Coordinator at the English Language Program at CSULA. She is a 2017 Summer Institute Fellow of Cal State LA’s Los Angeles Writing Project.
Undraa has presented on a variety of topics related to teaching writing at annual and regional CATESOL Conferences. She is a recipient of the 2017 Betty Azar Professional Development Travel Grant of TESOL International Association, Rick Sullivan Stipend sponsored by the CATESOL Board of Directors, and San Diego Regional CATESOL Stipend. Currently she serves as an Assistant Chair of College & University Level at CATESOL Board.
